Gurjum (or Gurjun) Balsam esssential oil, Dipterocarpus turbinatus, possesses a tenacious, woody, sweet fragrance that is useful as a scent fixative in soaps and other products. It is primarily used in the fragrance and perfume industry. This essential oil should not be confused with the balsam itself. This is the essential oil distilled from the balsam.
We do not recommend gurjum balsam for aromatherapy use.
