Ravintsara Essential Oil, Madagascar Add to Personalized Shopping List

Ravintsara essential oil is steam distilled from the leaves of Cinnamomum camphora, native to Madagascar. This tree also grows in China. The essential oil distilled from the Chinese variety is referred to as Ho Leaf essential oil, and yields an oil different in composition due to climatic and environmental diffferences. Ravintsara essential oil is a slightly sweet, camphorous oil similar in properties to eucalyptus. The name ravintsara is Malagasy for "healing seed." Ravintsara essential oil is highly recommended for upper respiratory infections, colds and flu. Diffuse during winter months to reduce the spread of viruses. It can also be used in massage rub formulations to relieve sinus and chest congestion.
