This fragrance oil is absolutely horrid! It smells like turpentine or cleaning fluid. I contacted customer service to see if it was old or something. It is awful!!
FNWL Response: Janet, the aroma of Vetiver Fragrance Oil is indeed special. Vetiver possesses a strong, earthy, smoky aroma. It is generally blended with other fragrance or essential oils to give a blend a richer, more complex fragrance. It helps ground top notes like citruses. Vetiver Fragrance Oil is developed as an affordable alternative to Vetiver Essential Oil. Vetiver is indeed a fragrance that some need to warm up to. I'm one of them. I didn't favor vetiver when I was first introduced to it years ago, but I gradually became fond of it. I find it especially deep, complex and grounding, and I now blend with it frequently. Its smoky, earthy aroma is often used in blends and applications for men. Try experimenting with it by blending it, at low dilution, with other fragrances or essential oils. A little goes a long way, so do use it sparingly. It's a wonderful complement to orange, sandalwood, jasmine and ylang ylang.
