Some individuals aren't especially fond of Clary Sage Hydrosol's aroma when compared to especially fragrant hydrosols such as neroli, rose or lavender. We, however, find the aroma of our carefully sourced Clary Sage Hydrosol to be light, herbaceous and pleasing. Suzanne Catty describes the aroma of Clary Sage Hydrosol to have a slight Early Grey tea (bergamot) aroma, and we agree.
The applications of Clary Sage Hydrosol for skin care and emotional use are noteworthy. In skin care, Clary Sage Hydrosol is refreshing and makes a wonderful toner and make-up remover. Suzanne Catty recommends its use for oily skin, and we agree.
Emotionally, Clary Sage Hydrosol has been used for its ability to provide a sense of calm and to ease anxiety and stress. Suzanne Catty recommends the use of Clary Sage Hydrosol for irritability caused by PMS and for menstrual cramps. Catty also mentions that some find it to act as an aphrodisiac and as such, it may be a wonderful addition to formulation intended for sensuality and romance.
