Witch Hazel Hydrosol Add to Personalized Shopping List

Rate/Review This Product

Most Witch Hazel products on the market contain about 14% alcohol to both extend the product and preserve it. The alcohol, however, can be very drying to the skin. Our Witch Hazel Hydrosol is gentle and alcohol-free. It does contain a small amount of Germaben to help extend its shelf life. If you have used a commercial Witch Hazel product, than you are familiar with its soothing, distinctive aroma. It possesses a subtle but unique, fresh, herbaceous aroma.

Witch Hazel Hydrosol is primarily used in skin and oral care. It is astringent and can be used daily as a toner. It cleans the skin and leaves a light film of oil to help soothe dry skin. Suzanne Catty mentions that Witch Hazel Hydrosol is antiseptic and possesses strong anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant properties and she states that it can be useful in healing varicose veins, hemorrhoids, cracked or blistered skin and to sooth eczema and psoriasis. It is effective in soothing sunburn, stings and bug bites. Its anti-inflammatory action makes it especially helpful in easing the pain of rheumatism and arthritis.

Witch Hazel has a long history of use in oral health care. Include it in mouth sprays, rinses and washes to ease sore throat pain.

The shelf life of hydrosols is up to 2 years when they are stored properly. Hydrosols can be stored in the refrigerator.

"I just received an order that I placed for fragrance oils. Thank you so much. I placed my order the Friday afternoon before a Holiday weekend and received it the following Tuesday. I was so happy. And then when I opened it, my happiness graduated to elation. I love the fragrances. I have actually experienced them before, but these are so much richer. Also I appreciate the care taken to ensure that the bottles would be safe and not leak. I look forward to placing many more orders *walking away to fill out applications for a 2nd job to support FNWL habit. Thanks again!"
