Cistus Hydrosol, also known as Rock Rose Hydrosol or Labdanum Hydrosol, isn't the most aromatically pleasant hydrosol for some, but it's applications in skin care and medicinal use are significant and make up for its distinctive herbaceous aroma. We certainly don't want to discourage you from experimenting with the hydrosol as some do find the aroma pleasant.
Cistus Hydrosol is highly astringent. The hydrosol helps to prevent and stop bleeding. Suzanne Catty suggests and recommends the use of Cistus Hydrosol for the cleansing and healing of of wounds. It also helps to heal scar tissue. She also mentions that it is powerful in fighting and preventing wrinkles and helps to plump up skin cells. It may also be effective in helping to heal and prevent stretch marks.
