Cosmetic Clays & Muds Storage Tips and Guidelines

Cosmetic Clays

Store cosmetic clays in air-tight containers away from sunlight. Do not store your clays in metal containers, and do not use metal utensils when working with the clays.

Don't allow unsterilized items like your fingers to come into direct contact with the clays that you are storing. Instead, scoop out the quantity that you need using a clean non-metallic utensil and leave the integrity of your primary quantity of clay untouched.

Do not allow moisture or water to come into contact with your cosmetic clays until you are ready to use them. Cosmetic clays should not be mixed with water or oils until the time of application.

Muds

Store your muds in air-tight containers away from sunlight. Cool storage conditions are recommended.

Don't allow unsterilized items like your fingers to come into direct contact with the muds that you are storing. Instead, scoop out the quantity that you need using a clean utensil and leave the remainder untouched.
