D&C Violet #2 Water Soluble Liquid is a pre-mixed water based liquid dye. Great for soaps, bath salts, bath bombs, body powders, and other water based or dry formulations. Add to your water phase drop by drop until you get the desired color.

Not for use in eye or lip products.

FNWL uses the standardized name for this color additive. Standardized names, however, can sometimes be vague. In our experience, Violet #2 is a classic purple (violet) hue. This particular colorant can be rather subtle. For a more intense color, try using Violet #2 Powder instead. The amount of colorant that you use will affect the intensity and vibrancy of the hue.

Please Note: Monitors vary in the way that they render colors. The color of this product may differ slightly from the color that you see on your monitor screen.

INCI: Distilled Water, Violet No. 2, and Propylene Glycol (and) Diazolidinyl Urea (and) Methylparaben (and) Propylparaben

Comments: I am using this for bath bombs, I found it to be a very watery product. it is doing the job but I am not really satisfied with how it takes so much to color..

Comments: I purchased this coloring to use on my bath salts, I had to use a lot of it like others did say tothe color I wanted, and also it made the bath salts a little too wet for my liking. But I really did enjoy the color.

FNWL Response: Keisha, that's not a fault of the dye but is simply an issue with coloring particular natural salts. Please be careful when coloring bath salts. If you color them way too heavily, the colorant can potentially stain the skin or tub. Our Pearlescent Micas are another beautiful alternative for adding color to salts.
