Description:

Allspice Essential Oil is steam distilled from the berries of the Pimento officinalis tree, an evergreen that is native to Jamaica.

Allspice Essential Oil possesses a highly fragrant, spicy aroma. It is a very warming oil that has been used topically and in massage blends. However, it does pose a higher risk of skin sensitization and we encourage heeding Tisserand/Young's maximum 0.15% dermal limit for the oil for leave-on skin formulations.

Allspice Essential Oil is often used within a number of personal care and wellness applications. It has been used to help support muscular, respiratory and digestive health. We encourage you to research the numerous benefits of this helpful oil.

Allspice Essential Oil is wonderful to use year-round, but it is especially lovely for seasonal use during the Autumn and Winter seasons. It wonderful for use in home fragrancing, diffusion and potpourri blends. It is also considered to be an aphrodisiac.

Aromatically, Allspice Essential Oil is a warming and stimulating essential oil that can help reduce mental fatigue, improve clarity and help maintain alertness. It is considered a middle note and blends especially well with essential oils in the spice, wood, citrus, floral and herbaceous families.

For topical formulations intended for adults, Essential Oil Safety Edition 2 by Robert Tisserand and Rodney Young recommend a dermal maximum of 0.15% for Allspice Essential Oil.
