Basic Balm Recipe

The oil and butter linked from this recipe are merely samples and any vegetable or herbal infused oil could be used as well as any butter. To adjust the hardness or softness of this balm for your particular use, add more oil to soften or jojoba MP 56 to harden. Adding too much beeswax will make it waxy. This can be colored with micas, scented and poured into lip balm containers or deodorant containers for use as lotion bars. To make an herbal balm, infuse your oil with herbs first. Add .5% T50 Vitamin E oil or Rosemary Oil Extract to the vegetable oils to keep the balm free of rancidity.
