Color Additive Storage Tips and Guidelines

Powdered Additives:
Powdered FD&C dyes, pearlescent micas, oxides, ultramarines and other powdered additives should be kept in airtight containers with tight fitting seals. Make sure that you keep Ziploc style closures tightly sealed. Store these additives away from light in a cool location.

Liquid Additives:
Liquid dyes and other liquid color additives should be stored out of direct sunlight in a cool location. Ensure that you screw the caps onto the bottles well. Avoid overtightening bottle tops as that can cause the tops to crack.
