Lavender Bud CO2 Extract is obtained by supercritical fluid extraction, using carbon dioxide as the solvent. The resulting oil contains 60-85% essential oil with a high content of linalool and linalyl acetate. Other components of the oil include ocimene, 1.8 cineole, lavandulol, terpinene-4-ol, lavandulyl acetate, caryophyllene, sesquilavandulol, and others. The yellow oil has the sweet, balsamic aroma of lavender which lends itself well to cosmetic preparations and salves.
