Oatmeal has naturally occurring gluten in the form of avenin protein, not the gliadin protein contained in wheat gluten. It is used as a thickener, binder and protein source in skin care products. Our fine grain colloidal oatmeal has has a particle size of 74 microns US mesh 200). It can be used in creams, lotions, soaps, facials and milk baths. Combine with powdered milk, herbs, honey, starches, nut meals or clays. It works nicely in a blend of our Honey and Goat's Milk melt & pour bases scented with our Oatmeal, Milk & Honey fragrance.
