Our organic liquid castile soap base is made from saponified organic oils of coconut and olive, aloe vera gel and rosemary oil extract (used as an anti-oxidant). This superior quality organic castile is very mild (pH 9.7-9.8), does not dry out the skin and does not have the strong odor sometimes found in other liquid castile soap. It can be used as a body wash, shampoo, fruit and veggie wash or as a mild laundry soap. You can add color and fragrance to liquid castile, but not all essential/fragrance oils are compatible. Test each new essential or fragrance oil in a small amount of castile. Note: Although castile soap is filtered prior to drumming, natural wax residues may remain in some lots, causing a light white layer of sediment. This sediment may be removed by allowing it to settle but does not harm the product if left in.
