Our Organic Amaranth Seed CO2 Total Extract is produced using CO2 supercritical extraction from certified organic Amaranth Seeds harvested in Peru. The Amaranthus, Amaranthus caudatus is a flowering plant that is also known as Love-Lies-Bleeding because its beautiful purple-red flowers droop downwards. This intriguing annual plant grows in South America and tropical areas worldwide. The plant has a fascinating history, and the seeds and leaves have been used since ancient times for culinary, medicinal and topical applications.

Organic Amaranth Seed CO2 Total Extract is a beautiful extract that is comprised mostly of Linoleic Acid, a beneficial polyunsaturated fatty acid. Most calendula extracts are produced by macerating calendula petals into a vegetable oil base such as sunflower or olive. Although traditional Calendula Extract offers significant advantages within skin care applications, our Organic Calendula CO2 Total is more concentrated and offers a greater composition of phytosterols and other beneficial lipophilic compounds that are naturally present in the calendula petals.
