Description:

Our Carrot Root CO2 Total Extract is produced by utilizing CO2 supercritical extraction to naturally extract all of the CO2-soluble lipophilic constituents from the roots of Daucus carota, also known as Wild Carrot or Queen Anne's Lace.

It is ideally suited for a wide array of nourishing and moisturizing formulations intended for mature, dry, itchy, damaged or severely problematic skin. Carrot Root CO2 Total Extract is highly concentrated and a little goes a long way. It is well suited for the finest cosmetic, beauty, spa and aromatherapy applications. We encourage you to research the numerous benefits of this potent extract.

After the Carrot Root CO2 Total Extract is obtained via supercritical extraction, it is then standardized in Sunflower Oil. To help protect this highly nutritive extract, Rosemary Leaf Extract is added at 0.1%.

The composition includes Provitamin A, alpha-cartone, beta-cartone, gamma-cartone, delta-cartone and epsilon-carotene, lycopine, flavones, essential oil and fatty acids. The total cartoene content is between 0.24-0.28%.

Our Carrot Root CO2 Total Extract offers a pleasant, light, earthy aroma. It is red in color and is fluid at room temperature.

Please Note: This CO2 Extract is typically used in conjunction with or in place of vegetable oils or vegetable butters within product formulations. Although it has a characteristic aroma, it should not be considered a substitute for essential oils, volatile CO2 extracts or natural aromatic ingredients that are primarily utilized for their volatile, aromatic components.
