Description:

Organic Lemongrass Essential Oil, Cymbopogon flexuosus, is steam distilled from organic lemongrass, a tall, aromatic grass that is native to warmer and tropical climates. Organic Lemongrass Essential Oil is stimulating and refreshing. It possesses a delightfully bold, lemony aroma and is used in holistic aromatherapy for a number of applications including use in formulations to help increase alertness and promote concentration and focus.

Within skin care applications, Organic Lemongrass Essential Oil is astringent. Its limonene content can help to dissolve excess oil. Our Organic Lemongrass Essential Oil is naturally comprised of 70% of the aldehydes geranial and neral, also collectively known as citral.

Lemongrass blends well with bergamot, cedarwood, geranium, citronella, rosemary, lavender, palmarosa, tea tree and other oils.

For topical formulations intended for adults, Essential Oil Safety Edition 2 by Robert Tisserand and Rodney Young recommend a dermal maximum of 0.7% for Organic Lemongrass Essential Oil.
