Storage Tips and Guidelines for Melt & Pour Soap BasesThe shelf life for our 2 lb. Melt & Pour Soap bases is 1-2 years. If you do not plan to immediately use your M&P Soap Bases after purchase, we encourage you to store them in an air-tight plastic storage container. This will ensure that your soap doesn't dry out prematurely. If possible, store your M&P soap in a cool, dry location. Heating Tip: Although not a storage tip, we want to emphasize that overheating our microwaving soap bases at high heat will ruin the lather and make the soap brittle. We strongly encourage you to heat the base at very low heat for only as long as it takes to melt the soap. Using a double boiler or double boiler insert is ideal.
