Description:

The yuzu is a citrus fruit that is native to Asia. Physically, these unique looking fruits have a slight resemblance to a small grapefuit, but the skin can vary in color ranging between yellow, orange and green. Yuzu fruit is not typically eaten.

Our Yuzu Essential Oil is cold pressed from the rinds of the fruit, Citrus junos and possesses a delightfully pleasant, citrus aroma. It is best described as an exquisite, bright, aromatic combination of tart grapefruit and sweet mandarin.

Within fragrancing applications, Yuzu Essential Oil offers longer staying power in a blend than most other citrus oils. Yuzu Essential Oil is considered a top note, but its natural aroma does not dry out as quickly as other citrus oils.

In skin care, Yuzu Essential Oil can help to tone and support healthy skin. Emotionally, the aroma of Yuzu Essential Oil is uplifting and brings a sense of joy. It is a good choice for formulations intended to provide a sense of calm and emotional balance.

Essential oils that blend well with grapefruit, tangerine, orange and mandarin oils also tend to blend well with Yuzu Essential Oil.

Within Essential Oil Safety Edition 2, Robert Tisserand and Rodney Young consider Yuzu Essential Oil to not be phototoxic.

Comments: Yuzu Essential Oil is hard to come by so I was pleased to find it on your site. Yuzu has a distinct flavor/scent and is prized in Japan. The golf ball sized fruit sells for a dollar a piece which explains the high price. Thankfully, a little goes a long way for my needs in lip balm.
