Tangerine Orange Essential Oil, Citrus reticulata, is cold pressed from the peels of the fruit. It has a beautiful, tangy yet sweet tangerine aroma. Within holistic aromatherapy applications, it is an energizing oil while simultaneously promoting tranquility and a sense of well-being. It is often included in aromatherapy blends intended to help calm tension and anxiety. It is a favorite of children.
Aromatically, Tangerine Oil is similar to Orange Essential Oil (Orange Oil), but it has a tarter, sweeter aroma that some prefer over Orange Oil. It blends well with other citrus essential oils and oils in the mint, floral, wood, herbaceous and spice families.
